Gico
Insurance
Many consumers think GEICO
Insurance is relatively new player in the insurance industry,
but in fact the company was founded in 1936 by Leo Goodwin.
Goodwin had a novel idea: Find government employees directly
and sell auto insurance to them at discount rates. The affordability
of Gico insurance has remained a firm tenet of company policy
ever since.
Gico Insurance has not forgotten its
roots. The company is one of the country's biggest insurers
for people in the military. Military members receive a discount,
as do many other government employees, good drivers, and those
who take driver's education courses. Geico believes that good
drivers and those who are gainfully employed should be financially
rewarded for their contributions to the community.
GEICO
offers much more than just auto insurance. They are also one
of the country's largest motorcycle insurers, and they offer
home, renters, and boat insurance as well. They also offer
what is called "umbrella insurance," which gives their customers
the option to insure against unforeseen (and costly) events
such as lawsuits.
You've heard the commercials. With
a 15-minute phone call or internet questionnaire, you might
save 15 percent or more on your car insurance. It's undoubtedly
worth the time and effort. If your main objective is to save
money on car insurance and to be insured by a company whose
reach is nationwide, consider Gico insurance.
